Hello, it's been awhile that I've posted something. I have been very busy these past few months. I am currently training at the Davao Medical Center for the Critical Care Nursing program.
The program will last for 6 moths. The first 2 moths I will be assigned at ward areas and the rest of the 4 moths will be in ICUs 1 and 2, PICU and CCU.

Uncertainty
As I brows a yahoo group of age carers from Davao who are already in Australia, I found out lots of uncertainty about my path going to Australia.
First, the funds I need to produce in order to pay for the visa processing and the tuition for the school in Australia. For this I will have to gamble on my inheritance from my father. I believe he will approve of this, what I'm doing is for the best and I'm hoping for my father's guidance.
Next, the dilemma of waiting for my student's visa. I'm not sure if it will be approved or be denied. It will take 2-3 months as promised by the school.
Lastly, once approved and once there in Australia what is my assurance of having a paid OJT right away since I will only bringing small amount of pocket money. One member of the yahoo group said they have not work right away, it took them 3 weeks before a work was offered. For 3 weeks they spent their pocket money almost to the bottom.
Lots of things have not been explained to me by the school such as: a work permit besides your student visa before having a paid OJT, Australian police clearance, opening an account, TFN (tax number) etc. Furthermore, the place to stay, the cost, the food, all the school have said was just a speculation or estimates of the cost.
Huh!! lots of questions pa in mind, I think I'll research more on how to get there (Australia) in such an assured state. Until the school explained everything, every consequences and every details, until the UNCERTAINTY still hangs I will not gamble my money(inheritance) nor my family.
I will find another route to Australia...........

Registered Nurse, at last!!!
Swiss Delly, 10 pm, eating dinner, raining like cats and dogs, when I received a call from Ivel shouting, yelling and telling me that I passed the exam. I could not believe it, and just answered "I told you, Baba had already given this to us." I was so overjoyed that I could not finished even my meal.
After the rain, I rush back to the office, turn on the net and found my name. Ah!!! Registered Nurse at last.
Thank you Doc Arce, Budek and Merge Davao.

My First Post
Good day mate!!!
This is my first post. I'm planning to go to Australia to study and work as age care provider. I'm currently preparing my papers and funds. Maybe next next year if my visa is granted I'll be in Australia.
I'm studying right now at IL International Davao Branch. I am taking up Age Care III. The subject is quite familiar to me because of my background in nursing. I like the subject on dementia and how to care patients with disability.
As of to date, I'm waiting for the result of the local board exam for nursing. I have read that it will out last week of July or first week August. Good Luck to meeeee.
